Rising Costs and our committment to you

Committed to Supporting our Customers

Over the past few years, businesses and households across Australia have faced increasing financial pressures. From rising fuel prices and transport costs to increased raw material expenses and supply chain challenges, the cost of doing business has continued to climb across almost every industry.

At Sapps & Co, we know that many of our customers are feeling these pressures too. Whether you’re running a business, managing a facility, maintaining a workplace, or simply trying to keep costs under control, every dollar matters.

That’s why we wanted to provide an update on current market conditions, explain some of the challenges affecting our industry, and most importantly, reaffirm our commitment to supporting our customers wherever possible.

The Reality of Rising Supply Costs

Like many Australian suppliers, we have experienced multiple cost increases from manufacturers, distributors, freight providers and raw material suppliers over the past 12 to 24 months.

A number of factors continue to contribute to these increases, including:

  • Higher transportation and freight costs
  • Rising fuel prices
  • Increased manufacturing expenses
  • Global supply chain disruptions
  • Increased packaging and logistics costs
  • Fluctuations in petroleum-based raw material pricing

While many industries have been forced to implement significant price increases to offset these rising expenses, we have worked hard behind the scenes to minimise the impact on our customers.

Absorbing Costs Wherever Possible

Our philosophy has always been simple: build long-term relationships by delivering quality products, reliable service and genuine value.

With that in mind, we have absorbed numerous supplier increases over recent years rather than immediately passing those costs on to customers.

This has required careful planning, operational efficiencies and ongoing negotiations with suppliers to ensure we can continue offering competitive pricing without compromising the quality and service our customers have come to expect.

While this approach has placed additional pressure on our business, we believe it is the right thing to do during a period when so many customers are facing their own financial challenges.

Why Some Prices Need to Change

Unfortunately, there are some circumstances where ongoing cost increases can no longer be absorbed indefinitely.

In particular, certain products that rely heavily on petroleum-based raw materials have experienced substantial increases in manufacturing and supply costs.

These products are especially vulnerable to fluctuations in global oil markets, transportation costs and chemical manufacturing expenses.

As a result, a small number of products within our range will require price adjustments.

However, it’s important to note that we will not be passing on the full extent of the increases we have received.

Instead, Sapps & Co will continue to absorb a significant portion of these additional costs in an effort to minimise the impact on our customers and help maintain affordability wherever possible.

Holding the Line on Freight and Fuel Surcharges

One of the biggest challenges facing businesses across Australia continues to be freight and fuel-related expenses.

Many suppliers and service providers have introduced separate fuel levies, freight surcharges or delivery fees to offset rising transportation costs.

While these increases are affecting our business as well, we have made a conscious decision to avoid implementing additional delivery and fuel surcharges wherever possible.

We understand that these fees can quickly add up and create further pressure on operating budgets.

Our goal remains to provide transparent pricing and minimise unexpected costs for our customers, even as freight expenses continue to rise throughout the supply chain.

Our Commitment Moving Forward

The current economic environment remains uncertain, and we expect market conditions to continue evolving throughout the coming months.

What won’t change is our commitment to:

  • Providing quality products at fair and competitive prices
  • Absorbing supplier increases wherever practical
  • Minimising the impact of unavoidable cost increases
  • Delivering reliable service and support
  • Maintaining transparent communication with our customers
  • Continuing to look for efficiencies that help keep costs under control

We know trust is earned, especially during challenging economic times, and we remain committed to supporting our customers through every stage of the journey.

Thank You for Your Continued Support

Every order, recommendation and ongoing partnership helps support not only our business but also the wider network of Australian suppliers, manufacturers and service providers we work with every day.

We genuinely appreciate the loyalty and support our customers continue to show us.

While some minor pricing adjustments may be necessary for selected products, please be assured that we will continue doing everything possible to absorb rising costs, avoid unnecessary surcharges and deliver the value, service and reliability you expect from Sapps & Co.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding and trust. We look forward to continuing to serve you for many years to come.
